License plate reading has been a term used in the monitoring industry for well over a decade, but did you know there was no reading altogether? To date, license plate reading systems are composed of a WDR (wide dynamic range) camera fixed in a specific position to capture video footage of a vehicle traveling through a portion of a roadway. In order to retrieve a plate number, video footage would need to be combed over manually after an incident on site. In conjunction with our proprietary neural net, we have developed our own license plate reading technology which can capture the alphanumerical values of a plate, convert them to metadata, and store them within our license plate database: syncroPlates.
Our dedicated engineering team has developed proprietary software to capture high resolution images from our License Plate Readers, and compile this information within our central database.

Once a plate number has been stored within syncroPlates, any vehicle that has entered your site, such as a suspicious vehicle or delivery truck, can be tracked by date and time, as well as be white-listed or black-listed globally across all syncroMonitoring sites. High resolution photos of each vehicle and plate are captured and stored in real time, as well.
Our Proprietary Central Database
Once a vehicle detection has been made, our Syncro system will post the image and read plate to the database where any number of logic analytics can be applied. In most cases, clients will use blacklisting and white listing. In more unique cases, we can utilize advanced logic techniques to identify suspicious vehicles and people, even if they are visiting a completely new location.
If our monitoring operators flag a vehicle as suspicious at any of our secured sites, Syncro will generate a special alert if that vehicle arrives at any other location that is secured with our video monitoring units.
In 2016, our team created a more advanced solution for plate data-basing by utilizing high-resolution cameras with advanced forms of analytics. This robust solution relies on the processing scalability of our proprietary Syncro system to perform the detection and scanning of the plates, in real-time. With a centralized intelligence system, we are able to program and implement far more advanced analytics without the necessity for high processing power on-site, and only the simple requirement that the cameras be able to detect a basic vehicle.
This level of security is only possible with a centralized database that allows all data from all locations to be utilized in real-time.
As of today, we are the only company able to offer this solution.

Our License Plate Readers are engineered to work seamlessly with our proprietary syncroReports platform. This custom integration allows users to blacklist license plates, while receiving notifications in the form of SMS or email when a blacklisted vehicle is detected on site. All license plates captured with high resolution images are available on syncroReports for searching and review at any time.
