Distribution Centers are common targets for theft, due to the high quantity of inventory and merchandise they house and transport at any given time. As a critical component in the supply chain, theft and damage not only harms the operation, but interferes with moving product for, and to, all the industries it services.

Some of the challenges faced include:
  • Cargo Theft
  • Property Damage
  • Vandalism
  • Trespassing
  • Accidents
  • Warehouse Theft
  • Security Budget Constraints
In addition to transport and inventory issues, distribution centers deal with a steady flow of personnel and vehicle traffic throughout all hours of the day. This is why preventative security measures are a powerful tool in protecting your business and assets.

The sheer scale of the operations demands an effective live remote video monitoring service to detect, deter, and prevent unwanted incidents.

Reactive vs. Proactive Video Security Systems

Many security companies, as well as most DIY in-house camera solutions, are reactive rather than proactive. While it’s helpful to capture video of a crime in progress, it does nothing to prevent the crime from happening.
Due to the large size of most distribution centers, installing and maintaining equipment can be labor and cost intensive. And guards can be expensive and not always effective in preventing losses.
In addition to the logistics and cost of camera installation, most security services require a hard-wired Internet connection. It’s no secret that these connections can be unstable and suffer from unpredictable bandwidth issues. Connection stability is key to ensuring high quality video capture when you need it the most.

Our Proactive Approach to Remote Video Monitoring

We combine the best technology with the intuitive eye of a human operator, to bring you the most innovative and proactive approach to video security monitoring on the market. Our technology and services focus on one thing — the early detection and deterrence of criminal and unsafe activity.  Our  proprietary, cellular LTE+ based communications platform bypasses the need for hardwired Internet to provide the most reliable and high-definition video available.
A professional monitoring staff commands the security units, utilizing audio and visual deterrents like voice commands over 2-way speakers and strobe lights to warn off trespassers. They zoom in on perpetrators with high-definition cameras that utilize night vision technology to capture court quality evidence.

Investigations & Video Review

Distribution centers are a hub for constant activity, both inside and outside a facility. From loading bays to warehouses, activities occur at all hours, and outside traditional camera monitoring hours. This is why our security units record 24/7 to capture incidents that may occur.
Our units feature an industry-leading storage capacity of 21 days, with an option to increase capacity up to 18 weeks. Our Video Review & Investigations team is available to find video evidence of any activities on your property, including accidents, vehicle damage, and internal theft.

Whether you’re searching for accidental or intentional damage, our team is available to investigate. Once they finish a review of video footage, they’ll provide you with a thorough report, including high-resolution photos and video.

Certifications to protect Video Surveillance.

All high-resolution video streams from our units are transferred over a private MPLS network to our UL & ULC Monitoring Center. Our monitoring center operates in compliance with UL licenses 827A and 827B. This ensures redundancy measures are in place to provide consistent and continuous uptime of our remote video monitoring service.
Our video security units are CSA Inspected & SPE-1000 Compliant, meaning they are safe to interface with the electrical power at your distribution center. A NEMA 4X rating protects them from all inclement weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, and ice. The unit enclosures are also resistant to corrosion, dust, and foreign debris.

Our Video Security Units

Our video security units are standard equipped with one ultra-high-resolution PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera for conducting live patrols and zooming in to capture court quality evidence. The PTZ, as well as the two included stationary cameras, utilize state-of-the-art night vision technology to produce ‘near daylight’ images, even in the darkest areas.
For active crime deterrence, units include a remotely triggered blue LED strobe light, and a 2-way communication speaker.
An internal expansion port allows for the addition of optional equipment, like license plate readers, thermal cameras, and more.
Our newest innovation, syncroDetect, works in conjunction with our camera security units. Utilizing advanced wireless alarm peripherals, this system provides total security coverage in areas where camera surveillance is difficult. It’s can be paired with door and window contact sensors, and motion detector sensors — all which trigger an alert to our monitoring center for real-time detection and deterrence.

syncro plates - Distribution Center Security
Distribution centers experience heavy vehicle traffic arriving and departing all hours of the day. From employees changing shifts to fleets of trucks at loading bays, keeping track of traffic is a challenge for managers.
Traditional security companies may employ a type of license plate reader camera. But legacy technology relies on scrubbing through video footage to manually record a license plate value.
We provide an intelligent system that captures license plates and then stores the plate in our syncroPlates system. This system captures the alphanumeric values of a license plate, converts them into time, date, and location metadata, and stores high-resolution photos of the vehicle into your own searchable database.
Your personal syncroPlates database supports full and partial license plate searches. This allows you to track the arrival and departure of specific vehicles, including employees, deliverables, contractors, and trucks. It features a blacklisting and whitelisting tool that allows you to control access by designating friendly vehicles and flagging suspicious vehicles. You’ll be notified immediately when blacklisted vehicles arrive.
