Utility companies often store large amounts of copper wire and other precious metals on site. These are targets for thieves, and their theft leads to disastrous consequences. While the need for security is understood across these industries, a wide variety of factors must be considered when securing utilities and critical infrastructure.
Infrastructure losses, such as disruption of power, water and gas delivery can be monumental, especially when considering potential revenues lost. Additionally, the threat of injury or loss of human life is real when trespassers breach these locations. Our live remote video monitoring service provides effective and advanced security solutions that are proven to yield results for the issues faced by the utility and critical infrastructure industries.
Advanced security solutions for every critical moment.
Every second is critical in Live Remote Video Monitoring.
The utilities and critical infrastructure industries faces constant threats of theft, vandalism, and potential for injury and even loss of life. Metal theft experienced across these industries is proven to have disastrous consequences. A robust and tailored security solution mitigates these problems.
With the cost of precious metals steadily on the rise, metal theft has grown exponentially. Criminals often damage fence lines to gain access to locations housing precious metals. Once a site is breached, criminals may attempt to steal wire spools, or potentially cut electrified strands of wire found throughout the location. The longer an individual remains on site, the greater the risk of tampering and damage to assets, and the risk of personal injury.
In order to combat metal theft and prevent the injury or loss of life, we strategically deploy our modular security units to cover essential areas, like fence lines, gates, roadway entries & exits, materials storage, machinery, and building access points. Our live monitoring operators utilize the security unit’s high-resolution cameras to conduct real-time surveillance to detect and deter suspicious and criminal behavior. Units are also equipped with advanced artificial intelligence driven analytics, for real-time detection of individuals on site, without the many false alarms inherent in other systems.
When a potential security risk is identified, our operators use PTZ (pan- tilt-zoom) cameras to zoom in and acquire court quality evidence of the incident, capturing identifiable features of the individual, such as clothing brands and colors worn, hairstyle, ethnicity, and even the vehicle driven. This level of detail aids in the successful apprehension of suspects and provides evidence for an arrest even after a suspect flees the area.
Our operators utilize real-time audio and visual deterrents, using 2-way communications speaker, to issue voice commands, and an LED strobe light to alert trespassers to the presence of a live security system.
Our Innovative Approach to Utilities & Critical Infrastructure Security.

Utility and critical infrastructure facilities are often located in remote areas that leave them vulnerable to the threat of theft and vandalism. Due to how remote location of these areas, emergency services may require extended response time, causing their dispatchers to require proof of a crime or incident in progress before they will dispatch first responders.
Chances of successfully apprehending criminals is dependent on the effectiveness of the security system on site. In the past, it was difficult to secure remote areas in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Remote locations provide a challenge to traditional security providers who rely on cabled internet for video transmission. These connections are bottlenecked by limited network speeds, resulting in poor image and video quality.
This prevents the clear identification of criminal activity in progress, thus reducing the chances of a timely police response. In order to receive the effective service warranted by the scale of risk these industries present, a reliable and scalable solution is needed.
Remote applications? Easy.
Our propriety communications platform operates on a cellular LTE+ network. This eliminates the need for hardwired, traditional internet. This platform offers exceptional advantages over traditional security systems, with industry leading network speeds for full-resolution image and video quality. Our security units feature proprietary range extension technology, boosting the range far beyond the average cellular device. When paired with our solar kits, we can service even the most remote locations.
System and monitoring uptime are critical when monitoring utility and critical infrastructure services that can’t afford disruptions. Traditional hardwired security cameras share the same internet connections, creating a single point of failure if a connection is severed or loses connection. This creates a tremendous security risk.

The most secure Remote Video Monitoring provider available.

Utility and critical infrastructure require strict network security measures to secure inbound and outbound information on their internal networks. These network protocols often inhibit third-party applications, making access to live camera feeds burdensome. Many security offerings require a third-party application to view camera feeds.
If the application download is permitted, this could present an ongoing security risk due to how the live camera feeds are directed and stored. In security, transparency is key and nothing should ever be second guessed.
Our custom communications protocol provides direct access to your live camera feeds in syncroReports, with no need for third-party software. As the world’s technology advances, security requires both physical and digital protection today.
We provide Total Security.
Utilities and critical infrastructure organizations house private and classified information over their networks. This information is crucial in maintaining the essential operational services to areas across the nation. It cannot afford to be at risk of intrusion from outside sources.
To ensure the privacy and protection of our clients’ data, our communications platform operates on an MPLS network that is not accessible from public internet traffic. This means our security units can only be accessed by our team at syncroMonitoring, and all communications, such as live feeds, are encrypted for further protection. With the recent onslaught of hackers and proliferation of ransomware, the value of this additional security measure cannot be understated.

...because security doesn't start or end at the fence line.
Security Engineered to Suit.
Our security units are designed to be modular and completely self-contained. Each unit houses independent communications to provide the stability and system integrity that utilities and critical infrastructure require. This guarantees our service never falls victim to the type of outages that plague other security systems.
