Our video monitoring facility, located in Ontario, Canada, is home base for our remote video surveillance system.  It’s here that our operators work tirelessly detecting and deterring crime. The numerous monitoring stations are outfitted with powerful multi-screen computers that monitor all daily activity of our industry leading security units installed across the United States and Canada.
Each station is also equipped with a fast and reliable VoIP communications system that allows operators to issue deterrence voice commands, communicate with individuals at a site, contact clients, and dispatch law enforcement.

What is Underwriters Laboratories?

Founded in 1894, Underwriter Laboratories (UL) is the global leader in the safety certifications space. Their certifications are recognized worldwide in areas such as product testing, as well as facilities, process, and system certifications. Any product or service that is UL certified has been inspected, and confirmed to be compliant with stringent safety protocols.
UL also assists their clients with science safety knowledge required to solve various robust business challenges across a wide array of industries. These include information and communications technology, health-tech, and power distribution.

Why Choose a UL & ULC Certified Facility?

In order for a facility to carry this certification, numerous requirements must be met to obtain the 827A and 827B UL license.

A major problem faced by the video monitoring industry is the fact that a single facility may be responsible for monitoring hundreds or even thousands of sites. One incident, such as a power loss from a substation malfunction or flooding can render the entire facility non-operational. This leaves all its customers vulnerable to criminal activity.
This is why our monitoring facility was designed to be UL & ULC certified (Licensing – CCN#: MDVO, File#: BP21003), requiring it to remain operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year, under almost any circumstance. Backup generators and rechargeable UPS batteries keep our facility 100% operational in the event of power loss. In the event that a monitoring station cannot function due to hardware failure, we have multiple, redundant stations always available to ensure that every client’s site is monitored without interruption.
To protect everyone’s security information, all data to and from the UL and ULC Certified monitoring facility is encrypted. This means only individuals with authorization have access to the information. For an additional layer of protection, access control procedures ensure only authorized personnel enter the monitoring facility.
